Hello There! :)From picking up my first crayon to using my Wacom tablet now, I have always appreciated art and all that it entails. If you combine that with
my love of psychology, analytics, and pop culture you get graphic design. I chose this path on a twist of fate after being one of the head layout designers for my high school yearbook (originally signing up for the main purpose of journalism). First attending University of Tampa, and then transferring over to Academy of Art University, I have found my strengths not only in organizing, but taking on several projects at one time. My favorite part of the design process is seeing the revolution of drawn ideas into an actualized concept and into a final piece. My main focus in graphic design has become branding and packaging due to the detail that goes into the work. I am very pensive and thoughtful in everything I do even down to the choice of my day to day outfits sometimes. This can be a great thing, but also can hinder my decisions to the point I would say sometimes I am indecisive. I want to make sure every move I make not only benefits me, but others, the project or task at hand, and in general is the best solution possible. Outside of design, I enjoy painting, writing, drawing, dabbling in guitar playing, decor making/furniture renovation, and anything DIY I can try. I love to have the satisfaction of making things myself with my time and efforts put in (and potentially coming out cheaper than actually buying the item). That’s also why I enjoy graphic design because of the satisfaction that comes with completing a project and the happiness a client gets from the product made. |
